Sourdough Bread, Classic Plain
Sosnicki's sourdough bread! Classic blonde type made with our in-house starter that Jessie scratch made on-farm. Kids eat bread - and baking organic sourdough is a priority here for feeding our kids. We use Oak Manor organic unbleached bread flour to craft our breads. Chemical applications including Glyphosate is used within conventional wheat production in Canada- so we don't play games with the flour we use - organic from Oak Manor only.
Our bread is a 3 day process and we bake fresh the day we pack your veggie baskets! We feed the starter the evening before we make the loaves. Day 2 we mix, stretch and fold, rise the dough and then shape the loaves. We then refrigerate the loaves overnight, score and bake on day 3 :)
Compared to commercial yeast bread sourdough is said to be easier to digest, lower glycemic impact, better nutrient absorption, support gut health as the fermentation process produces lactic acid and beneficial bacteria. And our kids love it. We'll be making this bread for life.
Ingredients: Jessie's Starter, Oak Manor bread flour, water, sea salt.
From our family to yours - we do not use refined seed oils in any of our foods.
