We sell the whole plant with rinsed root intact.  They hold very well in a vase in your kitchen for close to a week when fresh watered daily. Then you can simply pluck off the leaves you desire for your weekly cooking. Fresh basil is such a treat to have, and these plants are not tiny either! Very fragrant to have in your kitchen.
