We’re not automated, we’re 100 percent hands-on. There’s a small and mighty team that makes our home delivery program possible:
FARMERS BEN AND JESSIE: We grow your organic food! We harvest the veggies fresh for the boxes the morning before your delivery is scheduled, then we pack the boxes at the farm and load the truck for Igor to deliver to your doorstep. We’re lucky to have an awesome 5-person Mexican team helping us in the fields throughout the season– thanks guys!
IGOR: This gentle giant is the BEST at delivery. He works solo, delivering all of your boxes without help. Sometimes his days are more than 12 hours long! To help make the routes flow smoothly, please have a plan for your box so Igor can delivery quickly.
MARINA: She’s our joyful new logistic lady. Marina processes every order from each of our 150 VIPs, formats delivery slips weekly and oversees the firstname.lastname@example.org inbox. Marina is your gal for questions/support and is always happy to help. Keep in mind that she’s only part-time and doesn’t check email on the weekends, so last-minute requests are hard to accommodate.
Every Sunday morning, Jessie sends an e-newsletter with updates about the farm, VIP news, a list of what’s in the weekly box and a link to the add-on shop. If the newsletter is not in your inbox, check your spam/junk/promotions folders.
You will always receive 9 items – or 8 higher value items – in your weekly box. Jessie will send a list of the anticipated contents a week+ in advance. There will be variability from time to time due to weather and lower than expected quantity, but you will always get your 9 items! We try to post about last-minute subs on our Facebook group and on Instagram.
The shop is open Sundays-Thursdays. You shop for add-ons 1 week+ in advance. For example, the salad mix you order on June 5 will be delivered on June 12-15 (depending on your delivery day).
We deliver to different areas on different days. We determine your delivery day based on your address. With a 1-person delivery team and tightly packed, carefully mapped routes, we don’t generally have the room to accommodate delivery day changes/requests. We will always try our best to meet your needs and preferences. Send Marina your list of never send items and you will never receive them. You’re welcome to request specific substitutes, too, and we will include them if they are available/accessible.
The account you create on the shop is for your reference only. We do not access your account. If you have changes to your address or Never Sends/Faves, please email Marina at info@sosnickiorganics, so she can update your master delivery slip.
Need to skip a box? No problem, if you give us 48+ hours notice by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. With 48+ hours notice of cancellation, there’s no charge to cancel – we can deliver the skipped boxed at another time. Refunds are no longer preferred but email us if you feel this is a very necessary route for you. If you cancel with less than 48 hours notice, you will be charged for the box. (We harvest veggies fresh for your box and cannot sell them elsewhere, so they go to waste.)
Road-tripping or jet-setting? Have a blast! We won’t deliver while you’re away, providing you let us about your away dates with at last 48+ hours notice (please email Marina at email@example.com to let her know when you’ll be away). Skipped boxes can be delivered at a future date.
We always try out best to fulfill your requests! Last-minute changes, though, are hard for us. Remember, we’re a small family farm and are always so busy! (Plus, Marina is only part-time and not online on the weekends.) If you’d like to make changes to your box, please give us 48+hours notice so we have time to accommodate.
Please have a delivery plan in place, so that Igor can drop off your weekly box quickly. If he has trouble getting into your building or reaching you on the phone, we won’t be able to deliver your box. He works alone and can’t spare 20 minutes to figure out how to get your box to you. Unfortunately, refunds and re-delivery are not available for undeliverable boxes. We just don’t have the resources to try to deliver another day and the contents of undeliverable boxes have to be composted (it costs us in time, gas and vegetables when your box is undeliverable).
Subscriptions do not auto-renew, so please keep track of when yours will run out and purchase your next set of boxes before the deadline to avoid a disruption in your deliveries. If you don’t plan to renew, no problem! In that case, please let know Marina in advance, so we can pick up your empty blue box.
NOTE: Every other week (EOW) delivery is an option. If you’d like EOW, write Marina a note when you purchase your boxes on the shop. When she receives your order, she will send you an EOW delivery schedule.
We need the empties back! Please leave out your empty box(es) for Igor to pick up when he delivers your full weekly box. We know you have way too many things to remember already – why is life so busy?! – so we’ll send you a reminder the afternoon before. Please note that you will be charged for empty boxes that are not returned. No sweat if you forget now and then, but if it’s a regular thing or happens more than two weeks in a row, you will be charged a late fee of $3/box for every week that it’s not returned.
Please purchase all of your subscriptions and add-ons on the shop where we accept credit and PayPal. Offline payment options are limited to etrans, which we do not prefer, since they are harder to track (Marina cannot access them). Please DO NOT send etransfers before connecting with Marina. If you have any questions or concerns about payment, please let us know.
Send all your VIP home delivery questions and requests to firstname.lastname@example.org, where you will be answered as soon as possible Monday-Thursday (Friday until 1 pm). Jessie’s personal inbox is always busy and she may not get to your message for a long time. Messages on social media are only checked once a week.
